Nashville Children's Theatre's kid-friendly ticket prices cover just 50% of the actual costs associated with our professional productions and theatre education programs. Contributions to NCT help ensure that our affordable productions and programs remain that way.

What your gift to NCT makes possible:
Excellence in art
NCT averages 150 performances each year, more than any other arts organization in Nashville, making Nashville Children’s Theatre the busiest theatre in town. In total, the Theatre has staged more than 325 productions, and since 1985 NCT has staged 18 world premieres. Over 70,000 kids and adults visit the Theatre each year, including 60,000 students from 250 schools, including over 85 Metro public schoolsProducing Director Scot Copeland has dedicated more than 20 years of his career to NCT. His artistic leadership, the theatre’s full-time staff and the professional actors performing onstage create engaging and meaningful experiences for all NCT’s audiences.

Educational Programs
Education programming extends beyond performances, and includes the Theatre’s year-round drama classes for children aged 4-18. These Education Programs are designed to teach children life skills as well as acting skills and emphasize interaction between children, inspire imaginative thought, and build confidence. NCT’s hands-on classes and camps include acting workshops for all ranges of ages and experience levels, and include focuses in contemporary acting, theatre combat and musical theatre. More advanced students participate in our Young Artists Company and Actor’s Conservatory programs- the Children’s Theatre youth performance initiatives. We offer scholarships for all of our education programs and encourage children from all backgrounds to get involved.

A Growing Facility
Through NCT’s Capital Campaign, we will fully renovate our 690-seat Hill Theatre, expand the Theatre’s box office, add four new classroom spaces, greatly expand our lobby and public areas, create a sound-proofed cry-room with an excellent view of the stage for parents with small children, and add much-need artistic and administrative office space.
